After making HBO's heyday with Big Little Lies , actress  Nicole Kidman  returns to the small screen soon in  The Undoing . The new original creation of HBO also follows paths close to the series led by  Jean-Marc Vallée  then  Andrea Arnold  (for the little that she had the right to decide ) since it is overseen by  David E. Kelley , screenwriter and showrunner of  Big Little Lies precisely.

A trailer for  The Undoing  was released by HBO  a few days ago.
The Undoing will  tell the story of Grace Fraser (Nicole Kidman), a successful therapist who is about to publish her first book. While she has a dream life in New York alongside her loving husband (Hugh Grant) and her young son (Noah Jupe) attending an elite establishment, her daily life will rock and become a nightmare. A violent death will provoke a media tidal wave. A death that seems to be linked to the disappearance of her husband, a person she thought she knew by heart and whose terrible revelations about her will lead her to start her life over for her own good and that of her son.
The series is adapted from the novel  You Should Have Known  by Jean Hanff Korelizt and promises to be a sacred tortuous psychological thriller in which Grace will have to fight against those around her and herself to get out of this hell. Supported by an impressive cast which includes  Donald Sutherland  and  Édgar Ramírez , The Undoing  is part of the 2020 series not to be missed in our calendar  and this trailer confirms that this is likely to be very addictive.
Directed entirely by  Susanne Bier  and composed of six episodes, the mini-series will land next May on OCS.

Until the series is finally visible on our screens, HBO (and OCS in France) broadcasts two series not to be missed at this time. First, the adaptation of Stephen King's thriller  ,  The Outsider  (our opinion on the first episodes ), but also the new series of Armando Iannucci , creator of  Veep , taking place in space:  Avenue 5  (our reviews of the first four episodes ). On Canal +,  The New Pope  started on January 13 (our opinion on the beginnings here ).
In addition, before the arrival of  The Undoing , season 3 of  Westworld  will start on March 16 on OCS and the next day it will be the turn of the new series by  David Simon  worn by  Winona Ryder  and  John Turturro  :  The Plot Against America . Finally,  Mark Ruffalo  will star in  I Know This Much Is True  in a double role from April. There is therefore no risk of running out of series.
